International Comparison Program


The International Comparison Program (ICP) is s the largest global statistical initiative under the auspices of the United Nations Statistical Commission, established to provide comparable price and volume measures of national accounts aggregates across economies of the world.

Economic Globalization


The increasing interdependence and integration of economies through the expansion of trade, investment, technology, and information flows. This process has strongly been driven by the emergence of global value chains, which have reshaped the architecture of trade through the sharing of production processes at an international level.

Data Science


Data science addresses emerging challenges in agriculture, migration, poverty, and other socioeconomic issues by using technologies like artifical intelligence and remote sensing to analyze large datasets. It helps in decision-making by enabling the development of more effective policies and solutions for sustainable development.

Database Development and Management


Database Development and Management involves designing, creating, and maintaining efficient databases to store, organize, manage and disseminate statistical data. ADB is leveraging on SDMX standard in enhancing and modernizing the statisical systems of its member countries.

Survey Methods


Collection of data from individuals, households, and establishments through structured questionnaires or interviews. Can be conducted in various formats, such as the traditional pen-and-paper interviewing or computer-assisted interviewing (e.g., face-to-face interview using an electronic device, phone interview, or web interviews). Surveys are commonly used to gather demographic information, socioeconomic status, or perspective from a target group.
